Here at Christ’s Church we love kids.
In the past year, we have been able to totally secure our west wing and devote it to kids. This means that the 4,000 square feet of that wing is devoted to them. In this area, we have been able to get new tables, a reading corner, and even build a stage. We have added all of these things so that our kids are able to run around and enjoy themselves, while their parents have peace of mind knowing their kids are in good hands.
Christ’s Church wants kids to have fun while they are here, to know that this is a safe environment, and to want to come back. On Sunday mornings, kids are able to use all of these spaces provided to challenge their minds to explore more about Christ. We encourage kids to dive into scripture with us, as well as make crafts and participate in activities that help further teach the lesson of the week. With this space, kids are able to learn more about Jesus with the help of our loving volunteers.
In the future, we plan on adding another classroom for our two to five year olds. This will help to teach this specific age group lessons geared toward them. It will also help to spread out the numbers that we are having in our other classrooms.
We are also implementing a new check in system in order to make our kids wing as safe and secure as it can possibly be. Christ’s Church wants it to be easy for new church attenders to drop their kids off and feel comfortable leaving them with our volunteers. Our goal for our kids at Christ’s Church is to teach them to love God and love others in the way that Christ shows us.
Through our newly remodeled wing, we pray that our kids learn more about Christ through our volunteers, lessons, and kids around them.
